Lodges with places on their banners are being encouraged
to take part in the 2005 Schomberg House exhibition.
The event will take place during the summer months. The aim
will be to highlight the pride which lodges and Orangemen
have in their own locality as well as their country generally.
Lodges with places such as towns or villages, buildings including
their halls or churches and any other depiction of their locality
are invited to exhibit banners at the event.
Those who wish to sell paintings or other artwork will be
able to do so on a commission basis.
Director of Services Dr. David Hume urges lodges who wished
to take part in the exhibition to get in touch. "We would
like to hear from lodges who may have banners or other artefacts
of interest," he said.
"We would also like to hear from brethren who may collect
souvenir memorabilia from Northern Ireland - postcards, artefacts
and similar items."
