We reiterate the importance of our position statement released
July 12. We believe people have not fully considered this.
It is therefore regrettable that selective quotes have only
be used to satisfy media sound bites.
We contend that the government and the security forces know
who were behind the violence obviously orchestrated at Drumcree.
We ask who has the capabilities to make and use blast bombs,
it is certainly not the Orange Order!
We repudiate the government for introducing into the House
of Commons today a spurious element of conflict where none
exists on the Agreement.
Outrageous statements such as made today by Adam Ingram connecting
the horrific and tragic murder of the young Quinn brothers
to the peaceful protests involving Drumcree are contemptible
and hostile towards the Institution. We condemn this type
of cheap remark as both distasteful and dangerous. Such careless
remarks can encourage further attacks on both our members
and their property.
Our principles demonised by anyone. We appeal to people to
listen to us thereby opening up avenues of understanding.
