The Loyal Orange Institution is very clear in its attitude
to violence and terrorism. Violence is morally wrong and no-one
should engage or support violent activity to further their
ends.
Members of the Orange Institution are therefore distressed
and angry to find that a group engaged in violent activity
has the audacity to use the title Orange in their name. The
"Orange Volunteers" have no connection with the
Orange Institution. We unreservedly condemn their acts of
violence.
The title Orange is a proud name standing for freedom and
decency. To have it sullied by association is a disgrace and
an affront to the great principles that underpin it.
As always, we call on anyone who has any knowledge of terrorist
activity to report it to the police.
